As the Manager, Program Services, Clinics & Allied Health at University Health Network (UHN), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of patient care at West Park Healthcare Centre. This position requires a leader who can provide both administrative and clinical guidance to diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment. You will be instrumental in creating an environment of continuous learning, engaging staff, patients, and families in ongoing improvement initiatives. The role involves facilitating seamless transitions across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs, spanning the entire health care continuum. Furthermore, you will oversee the development of innovative services, including new models of care and continuous process and quality improvement, aligning with strategic directions in partnership with Clinical and Medical Directors. Fiscal planning and accountability are also key components of this leadership program, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve service goals within the UHN framework.
To excel in this Manager, Program Services role within the UHN health system, specific qualifications are required. Candidates must possess a Baccalaureate degree in a regulated health profession, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or nursing, complemented by a recognized Master’s Degree in a related field. Membership or certification from an RHPA College in Ontario is also a mandatory requirement. Preferred candidates will bring a minimum of three years of experience as a clinical manager, alongside greater than five years of relevant experience in a clinical practice capacity. Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs and services is considered a significant asset. The successful individual will demonstrate proven change management skills, strong leadership and motivational skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Effective negotiation skills, critical thinking, and solution-focused abilities are essential for navigating the complex healthcare environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook applications is also required to manage the administrative aspects of this critical program.
