This part-time opportunity is situated within the Peel Regional Cancer Centre - Oncology Program, Palliative Care & Medical Outpatient Clinics, primarily based at our Queensway Health Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario. In this pivotal nursing role, you will provide comprehensive care within a primary nursing framework, working collaboratively as a vital member of our inter-professional team. Your expertise will be essential in conducting thorough nursing assessments, articulating clear patient goals of care, and delivering tailored educational teaching to patients and their families. Previous experience in medical, oncology, and palliative settings is a prerequisite, with a strong preference for candidates holding recent oncology certification, de Souza chemotherapy and biotherapy, foundations in oncology courses, and palliative care certification. We value strong communication skills, an unwavering focus on patient and family-centred care, and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships that support healing and well-being. This position requires a profound understanding of the philosophy and concepts underpinning both oncology and palliative nursing practice, ensuring every patient at our centre receives the highest standard of compassionate and evidence-based care.
