The successful Registered Dietitian will act as an active member of an inter-professional team, primarily responsible for the delivery of evidence-based, equitable, and patient-centred medical nutrition therapy. In this vital hospital role, you will provide quality nutrition therapy tailored to each patient's diagnosis, treatment plan, age, and nutrition status within an inpatient setting. Key duties include comprehensive screening and assessment, contributing to personalised care plan development, establishing goal-oriented treatment interventions, and conducting essential patient and family education to address specific nutritional needs. Furthermore, this role requires you to act as a coach, mentor, or consultant, utilising sound critical thinking skills to achieve optimal patient outcomes and facilitate effective team function. You will also provide education opportunities to staff on therapeutic diets and nutrition therapy, ensuring a high standard of care across the hospital.
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional with established clinical expertise in the nutritional management of adult medically complex inpatients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing enteral and parenteral nutrition support, bringing recent experience from an inpatient acute care setting. Your ability to utilise practice-based research will be essential to ensure excellence in the provision of nutritional care. This role demands a reliable, flexible, and self-directed individual who can work effectively and collaboratively within a very high-paced, dynamic health care environment. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills are paramount for fostering effective patient interactions and team collaboration.
