This full-time Registered Nurse position is within the Palliative and Cancer Program at Trillium Health Partners' Credit Valley Hospital site in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves 12-hour shifts, covering both days and nights, and offers a salary range of $41.15 to $58.98 per hour, corresponding to the CPS04.2 level.

What You'll Bring
Applicants must possess current certification or eligibility for certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, along with a Baccalaureate degree and current B.C.L.S. certification. Preference will be given to candidates holding recent Oncology and/or Palliative Care certification, as well as those with recent de Souza Foundations in Oncology course completion and de Souza or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemotherapy and biotherapy certification.
If not already completed, there is an expectation to commence de Souza or ONS courses within six months of hire, and certification to administer chemotherapy and biotherapy is a mandatory requirement for this role. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in Medical, Oncology, Haematology, Palliative, and V.A.D. nursing, including chemotherapy administration.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of the philosophy and concepts of Oncology and Palliative Nursing practice, coupled with excellent communication skills, a strong focus on patient and family-centred care, and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships. The role requires the ability to provide nursing care within a primary nursing framework, work effectively as a member of an interprofessional team, and clearly articulate nursing assessments and patients' goals of care.
Previous experience in providing educational teaching to patients and families is valued, as is demonstrating strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills, along with evidence of ongoing professional development. Satisfactory attendance and performance are also required.
