The successful Project Manager will be instrumental in delivering essential municipal engineering and land development projects that strengthen communities and enhance infrastructure resilience throughout Central Alberta. This involves expertly managing the planning, design, and execution of vital systems, including water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure, from initial concept right through to construction. You will lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration to deliver innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions that truly make a lasting difference. Building and maintaining trusted client relationships with various municipalities and public-sector partners will be a core aspect of this role, alongside overseeing project budgets, schedules, risks, and communications to ensure successful delivery and positive impact.

Candidates for this Project Manager position should possess a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Licensee in Engineering (P.L.(Eng.)) designation, registered within Alberta. We are seeking individuals with approximately five or more years of experience specifically delivering municipal infrastructure projects. Demonstrated expertise in the design of watermain, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway systems is crucial. A strong understanding of construction administration and the nuanced processes involved in municipal project delivery is also essential. Furthermore, a working knowledge of Alberta's environmental standards, regulations, and approval processes, combined with a valid driver’s license, will enable engagement with municipal clients across the region. Ultimately, a collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for improving communities through robust engineering and infrastructure development are key to success in this role at WSP.
