What you'll do

As the Product Manager, Tires and Wheels at Canadian Tire, you will be instrumental in shaping the national Tires and Wheels business. Reporting to the AVP, Tires & Automotive Outdoor Adventure, this critical role is accountable for the overall strategy, performance, and evolution of this key category. You will work closely with Category Business Managers to lead SKU assortment, pricing, and lifecycle strategy, ensuring Canadian Tire offers the right products at the right price for its customers across Canada. A significant part of this role involves leading the innovative Road Rated tire performance testing program. You will provide strategic direction to Category Business Managers and support retail stores and cross-functional teams with essential business analytics and reports.

  • Own and evolve the Tires and Wheels product strategy, translating customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics into clear assortment and pricing direction. Continuously evaluate category performance, customer behaviour, and external market signals to refine strategic priorities, balancing customer relevance, differentiation, and financial objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Category Management team, offering day-to-day coaching and strategic guidance to ensure focus on high-impact initiatives. Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing analytical rigour, customer-centric thinking, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead assortment and pricing through Line Reviews, optimizing SKU-level decisions across Tires and Wheels. Establish strategic guardrails like price ladders and brand architecture to guide data-driven assortment changes that improve productivity, profitability, and customer relevance.
  • Develop and govern the comprehensive pricing strategy for Tires and Wheels, aligning with brand positioning and financial goals. Leverage market price intelligence, competitive benchmarking, elasticity insights, and cost inputs to balance price competitiveness and margin performance.
  • Set the vision and roadmap for the Road Rated tire testing program, ensuring it delivers meaningful differentiation and credible performance insights. Align testing outputs to support assortment decisions, Owned Brand development, and clear customer communication.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, reports, and ways of working within category management, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision quality.
