About the Opportunity
At Canadian Natural, a leader in Canada’s energy industry, this Pipeline Geohazard Specialist opportunity offers a chance to drive innovation and long-term value through a commitment to integrity and teamwork. Joining the Asset Integrity Team in Calgary, Alberta, you will be a pivotal player in supporting the company’s extensive Pipeline Geohazard Management Program throughout Western Canada. Key Responsibilities and Expertise
The successful Pipeline Geohazard Specialist will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the Pipeline Geohazard Management Program. The specialist will conduct engineering assessments for emerging geotechnical and hydrotechnical threats, regulatory audits, routine pipeline evaluations, and broader integrity management initiatives. Managing flood and precipitation monitoring programs and providing technical support during geohazard incidents are also key accountabilities. Additionally, the role supports pipeline route selection and construction projects through thorough geohazard assessments, geotechnical investigations, HDD design reviews, and field-based mitigation and remediation activities, ensuring the long-term integrity of Canadian Natural’s infrastructure.
