We are currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician/Psychotherapist to join our WSIB Neuro Specialized Care Program. This vital program is embedded within THP Solutions and plays a pivotal role in providing high-quality, expedited assessment and treatment services, significantly contributing to the recovery journey of individuals referred by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Details
As a Mental Health Clinician within this specialized program, you will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive mental health assessments for workers requiring psychosocial support for their recovery. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering evidence-based, one-to-one treatment interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Collaborating closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals, you will actively participate in interprofessional rounds to discuss recovery barriers and formulate effective treatment plans. This role demands strong clinical skills in preparing in-depth reports that support robust case management and effective communication with external partners, including insurers and employers. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care and the successful outcomes for individuals navigating their recovery journey, building on your valuable clinical experience.
To excel in this Mental Health Clinician position, candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in a regulated health care profession such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or be a Registered Psychotherapist authorized to practice independently. A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals living with mental health concerns is essential, coupled with extensive training and experience in providing time-limited, evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Strong individual psychotherapy skills are paramount for delivering effective care within this program. We seek professionals with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within an interprofessional team.
