This role is integral to the Engineering function within an agile Project Squad, where you will identify critical business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions across multiple stakeholder groups. Your extensive experience will be crucial in partnering with Technology Delivery and Product teams to lead backlog refinement, execution, and delivery through effective story grooming, UAT planning, and stakeholder management. You will facilitate marketing and Go-To-Market requirements gathering and design sessions, transforming these into detailed use cases, business rules, user stories, and process flows. This involves determining operational objectives by studying existing business functions and evaluating output requirements, continuously improving systems by designing necessary modifications. Furthermore, you will recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures, monitoring project progress, and maintaining system protocols. Directing day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with Scotiabank's risk culture is also a key responsibility, ensuring effective and efficient operations while adhering to business controls for risk and compliance.

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this Lead Business Systems Analyst role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering. A minimum of eight years of previous experience as a Business Analyst is required, with a strong preference for experience in large enterprise organizations, particularly within financial institutions. This experience should specifically focus on Digital, Marketing, Personalization, MarTech, GTM, or Sales Enablement.
