Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The successful candidate pour this pivotal role will be responsible for conceiving and designing earthfill dikes, dams, and cofferdams, including their rehabilitation. Vous will conduct inspections of earthfill retention structures and prepare associated reports, ensuring compliance with the current regulatory frameworks pour safety evaluations. Preparing high-quality plans, specifications, and technical deliverables est a core duty. This position involves close collaboration with various internal disciplines, including structural, mechanical, hydraulic, civil, geotechnical, electrical, and hydrometry teams. Depending on your interest, vous may technically coordinate specific projects or act as a project engineer, providing technical support during construction and participating in quality assurance.

To be considered pour this role, vous must hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in civil engineering, geological engineering, or a related field; the Master's degree est mandatory, with specialization in retention structures being a distinct asset. Membership with the OIQ, or eligibility to become a member, est also required. Candidates should possess proven experience in the design and modelling of earthfill retention structures, as well as experience in their inspection and safety evaluation.
