About the Role
Reporting to a Team Leader, Broker Services, this role is accountable for delivering superior customer service to Brokers and internal stakeholders regarding Guidewire inquiries and processing. You will provide essential data entry support as required.
Key responsibilities include processing transactions not enabled by broker self-service functionality, such as letters of experience, returned mail, and cancellations, all in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority. You will also review and assess risk for acceptability in less complex scenarios.
Ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and authority on all inquiries and transactions is crucial. You will consult with appropriate escalation contacts for matters outside established authority levels, gathering pertinent information and providing a well-documented business case for referrals to the correct teams.
This position involves processing transactions efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. You will also review incoming emails and cases in electronic format to identify risk types, categorise cases in the management system for routing to the appropriate team, and update existing policy cases when additional information is received from Brokers.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a university degree or college diploma, or equivalent experience, ideally in Business or Finance. Working towards a CIP designation is preferred.
You will bring specialised knowledge in insurance and underwriting, along with strong technological skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. A customer service focus, positive and helpful attitude, and excellent people skills are essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong organisational and time management skills are also required for this role.

The hourly compensation for this role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates set by the respective educational institution.
Successful clearance of a background check, including criminal checks and leadership references, is required for this position.
