The Home Depot is seeking a skilled professional for a unique dual role as a Certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic & Lead Rental Technician. This position is crucial for maintaining our large rental equipment fleet and providing expert support to both customers and store associates across multiple sites.

Your impact

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that our heavy rental equipment is always in top condition and readily available, while also supporting our store teams.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician (HET), your responsibilities include:

• Serve as the subject matter experts for all rental large equipment (LE) maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure all assigned LE fleet is rental ready for our customers.
• Provide LE technical expertise to store TRC associates, Mobile Service Technicians, and customers.
• Complete routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of rental fleet in assigned stores.
• Plan and coordinate your day by balancing the prioritization of rental business objectives and customer service demands.

As a Lead Rental Technician (LRT), your key contributions will involve:

• Serve as the subject matter experts in large equipment (LE) operation and repair.
• Ensure LE rental readiness.
• Provide LE technical expertise to customers and store Tool Rental Centre (TRC) associates.
• Perform general maintenance and repair of rental fleet in assigned stores.
• Plan and coordinate your day by balancing the priorities of the rental business objectives, TRC store location’s LE maintenance and repair needs.
• Execute on the processes, behaviours, and expectations for meeting rental standards and customer’s needs.
