### Your Impact and Developing Geotechnical Expertise Your impact as a Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training with WSP will be both immediate and substantial. You will deliver essential field and office-based geotechnical services, supporting a wide range of infrastructure and development projects across the region. This includes conducting crucial field testing programmes, such as in-situ density testing, materials testing, and construction monitoring, all vital for ensuring project integrity and safety. You will also perform comprehensive construction site reconnaissance, inspections, and observations to meticulously verify specific geotechnical conditions. A key aspect of this role involves leading or assisting with subsurface investigation programmes, which encompasses layout, drill rig supervision, borehole and test pit logging, as well as meticulous soil and groundwater sampling and site sketching. You will apply specialized geotechnical software and equipment to prepare detailed analyses, visualizations, and technical deliverables, summarizing findings from investigations and laboratory testing to shape internal design discussions and client-facing reports. This hands-on experience will significantly enhance your practical expertise across various geotechnical challenges, fostering continuous growth in your career.
