Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As an Emergency Medical Technician with the SHA, your daily duties will involve a range of critical tasks to ensure patient safety and effective care:

• Respond to both emergency and non-emergency events.
• Provide thorough assessment and treatment for ill or injured persons.
• Ensure safe and consistent transportation of patients.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records using basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) and familiarity with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.

• Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
• Current CPR certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level

Compensation and Perks

This part-time regular position offers a competitive salary within the Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician range of $29.909 to $36.572 per hour. The role involves 112.02 hours per 4-week rotation, with shifts including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and standby.
