Key Responsibilities and Technical Expertise
In this role, you will partner with development, operations, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions. A core aspect of your work will involve building and maintaining automation frameworks for deployment, scaling, and observability, alongside designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines. You will continuously improve system performance, availability, and reliability, providing end-to-end ownership of mission-critical platforms, including production support and root-cause analysis. Proactive monitoring of systems using observability tools is essential to identify and address performance and reliability improvements. Candidates must bring at least five years of experience in DevOps, SRE, and Systems Administration, ideally within hybrid (on-prem and AWS) environments. Strong RHEL systems administration experience, hands-on AWS IaaS, and Infrastructure as Code (CDK/TypeScript preferred) are required. Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or JavaScript, along with experience in configuration management tools like Ansible, is also critical for success in supporting these complex financial systems. A solid understanding of security and compliance practices within regulated industries is paramount, ensuring the reliability and integrity of BMO's platforms.
