About the Opportunity
This is a Customer Service Representative position with the LCBO in New Liskeard, Ontario. The role is a fixed-term summer opportunity, running from May 4, 2026, to September 7, 2026. The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.82.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be a friendly and helpful expert in retail stores, passionate about delivering an engaging customer experience. You will receive paid training covering store operations, customer service, and product knowledge including wine, beer, ciders, and spirits. This is an on-site role, reporting to the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve customers using the cash register system promptly, courteously, and responsibly, ensuring a positive and memorable customer experience. A key part of the role involves asking for donations for our partner charities as part of our Spirit of Sustainability Campaign. You will also participate in customer experience and postal code surveys.
Daily tasks include receiving products, replenishing shelves, and ensuring products are faced-up. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe store environment for everyone is essential, which includes cleaning up spills and broken bottles. This role requires the ability to lift cases of various sizes and weights, up to 40 lbs (18 kg), repeatedly while standing for long periods.
What You'll Bring
Candidates must be legally allowed to work in Canada, possessing a valid SIN, Student, or Work Permit, and be at least 18 years old. You should be comfortable working collaboratively with teammates and directly with customers. Successful candidates must agree to complete a Criminal Background Check, at their own expense, before commencing work with the LCBO.
Required availability includes Fridays from 5:00 PM to close, and Saturdays and Sundays with full-day availability for a 4 to 8-hour shift. You must also be available to work during long weekends, specifically Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, and Labour Day weekends. Additional work may be available Monday through Thursday based on store needs, with schedules posted two weeks in advance, and extra shifts potentially arising on short notice. Bilingualism in English and French is considered a bonus.
