About the Opportunity
This is a casual Sonographer position specialising in Echocardiography with Trillium Health Partners. The role is based primarily at Mississauga Hospital, with flexibility to work across all Trillium Health Partners sites. Shifts include Monday to Friday and weekends. The hourly rate for this Allied Technical AT09.3 role ranges from $37.95 to $53.32.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform 2D, M-mode, and colour flow echocardiograms for the non-invasive diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular disease in adults, children, and infants across Trillium Health Partners sites. You will assist with transesophageal echoes and contrast studies. Maintaining accurate records of tests performed and assisting with statistical data and quality assurance for the echo laboratory are also key aspects of this role. Ensuring equipment is functioning properly and maintaining adequate supplies, alongside fostering a safe work environment for co-workers, patients, and visitors, are essential. Collaboration with other team members to optimise resource use and ensuring a patient-centred environment are also expected.
What You'll Bring
Applicants must hold current registration with a recognised credentialing organisation such as CARDUP or ARDMS, and be registered annually with CMRITO. Practical experience in adult echocardiography is required. Experience in paediatric echocardiography, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and contrast echocardiograms is considered an asset. Current BCLS and CPR certification are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team, possess effective decision-making skills, and exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities combined with strong patient care skills. A service excellence attitude is crucial, alongside strong organisational skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a positive work and attendance record.
