Join our Structures – Ouvrages d'art team in Laval, Quebec, where you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and rehabilitation of bridges and complex structures. This position offers the chance to participate in large-scale projects, from preliminary design through to construction follow-up, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and both public and private clients. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and mobility of communities.
Key Responsibilities
You will actively participate in internal and client technical meetings to define optimal structural directions and solutions. This involves developing comprehensive technical solutions for the design, maintenance, and rehabilitation of various structures.
Your role includes conducting preliminary and complex engineering studies for construction and rehabilitation projects. You will perform detailed calculations, structural analyses, and dimensioning of bridges and other structures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
Furthermore, you will develop structural analysis models and conduct mandates for assessing the load-bearing capacity of bridges and structures. You will also be responsible for preparing plans, specifications, quantity surveys, and cost estimates for projects.
The position requires providing technical follow-up on construction sites and offering expert technical support during the execution of works. You will also conduct damage surveys on the field and prepare clear, rigorous expert reports.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialisation in structures is considered a significant asset.
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in modelling, structural analysis, and the design of various structures, including bridges, concrete, steel structures, and foundations, is required. You must be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Advanced Design America (ADA), SAFI, CSI Bridge, SAP2000, or equivalent is essential. Excellent technical writing and communication skills in French are also a must, along with holding an ASP Construction card.

The compensation for this role in Quebec ranges from $89,200 to $118,500 annually. The final salary may vary based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, geographic location, performance, and business needs. The stated salary range is subject to change for commercial reasons.
