Position Summary

As a Branch Systems Administrator at Scotiabank, you will play a vital role in the success of ScotiaMcLeod branches across Canada. This position is central to ensuring that all technology infrastructure, including workstations, voice communications, and multi-functioning devices, operates at peak efficiency. You will contribute to a purpose-driven, winning team committed to results within an inclusive and high-performing culture, while always ensuring compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.

What You'll Do

This role involves a comprehensive set of responsibilities focused on maintaining seamless technology operations and supporting branch staff. You will be instrumental in managing various systems and addressing any technical issues promptly.

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Manage workstations, voice communications, and multi-functioning devices by ensuring all technology is running at maximum efficiency, promptly responding to all technical issues affecting branch operations.
  • Act as the liaison with the Scotia McLeod Technical Helpdesk and the Technology Training Team to ensure efficient resolution to all issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Ensure the branch is prepared for rollouts and updates by advising all branch staff of new procedures affecting applications, cascading communication regarding dates, requirements, and training schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for branch staff questions and support, also serving as a liaison with the Technology Training Team.
  • Manage technology administration by verifying and updating quarterly user reports, maintaining the technology inventory list, and processing Wealth Store orders for new hires, transfers, and departures, managing issues and escalations as required.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

Requirements
