Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, your daily activities will involve a blend of team leadership, customer engagement, and operational oversight to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Mentoring the team on advice-giving strategies for banking solutions to improve overall customer experience and financial confidence.
- Promoting TD's image and goodwill within the community by actively participating in community events.
- Enhancing customer experience by understanding their financial needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Acting as the highest point of escalation for the branch to ensure customer issues are handled effectively and participating in resolution when required.
- Overseeing complex branch administrative duties related to mutual funds, real estate secured credit, and other compliance-related issues.
- Ensuring overall employee scheduling is optimal for branch operations.
- Developing and implementing business development strategies within budget and communicating results to the team to meet business objectives.
- Ensuring the accuracy of all customer transactions as per TD's policies to achieve operational excellence.
- Mentoring the team on offering One TD solutions and building lasting relationships with customers.
- Liaising with Wealth and Business Banking teams to stay updated with processes, emerging issues, and industry regulations.
- Cultivating a positive and customer-focused work environment that builds productivity, innovation, operational improvement, and professionalism.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this Branch Manager Trainee role, you will need a strong foundation in banking, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to customer service. We are looking for individuals with:
- An undergraduate degree and/or over 5 years of relevant experience.
- Completion of the Branch Compliance Officer (BCO) and IFIC or CSC Course.
- Strategic thinking abilities with extensive knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, policies, programs, and systems to provide tactical direction to senior leadership.
- Proficiency in software tools including MS Office and internet applications.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with customers, employees, and cross-functional teams.
- A thorough and accurate decision-making approach, exercising discretion and judgement skills when working with confidential information.
- A dedicated and committed leadership style that can positively influence the team and achieve results through effective negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
This opportunity includes a mobility clause, requiring candidates to be mobile within the assigned district. Upon completion of the training program, you will be assigned to a compatible position, which may involve a transfer and geographic relocation to another TD location within your assigned region. Geographic mobility is a condition of this employment.
For this Québec-based role, mastery of a language other than French is required to provide support or deal with clients who need services and support in a language other than French.
