This is a challenging yet highly rewarding opportunity for positive self-starters to contribute to sustainable land management practices. As part of Irving Woodlands, you will play a crucial role in our extensive planting efforts across New Brunswick, helping to restore and grow our forests. The planting season commences early May and offers a chance to work with a company dedicated to environmental stewardship and long-term tree management. This role is ideal for those passionate about outdoor work and making a tangible impact on our natural resources.
This summer tree planting role offers a unique opportunity to earn based on your productivity, with daily earnings typically ranging from $200 to $500 through piece work. The planting season runs from early May until mid-July, with a fall season resuming early August. Our operations focus on fast land that is largely mechanically site-prepped, ensuring efficient planting. All work blocks have road access, and transportation will be provided to site. You will be expected to meet production targets and quality standards while consistently adhering to all safety protocols. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and able to reach a central meeting location daily if part of a home-based crew. This physically demanding and fast-paced team environment requires a highly motivated self-starter committed to effective land management. J.D. Irving provides all necessary planting equipment; candidates only need appropriate footwear and a high-visibility shirt or vest. There are opportunities to work locally or reside in one of our camps, which offer meals and amenities.
