As a Fire Alarm Technician with Chandler, you will play a crucial role in the installation projects, comprehensive inspections, meticulous maintenance, and expert troubleshooting of various fire alarm systems. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation, assembly, precise programming set-up, and thorough verification of new fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet the highest safety standards. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in the inspection, service, and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems, applying your working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536, and S537. Demonstrable experience in programming fire panels and a broad understanding of diverse fire systems are essential, alongside the proficient use of specialized test tools to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability.
Candidates for this Fire Alarm Technician position should possess a minimum of five years of direct experience in fire alarm installations. While a Grade 12 Certificate is required, graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered a valuable asset, as is relevant industry experience. CFAA certification would also be a significant asset, though it is not strictly necessary for consideration. The role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with excellent troubleshooting abilities and a self-motivated approach focused on delivering outstanding customer service. You must be comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, and capable of lifting over 50 lbs. A valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract and a satisfactory criminal background check are mandatory requirements for this essential safety-focused position. Experience with Special Hazards Suppression Systems would be an additional asset for this comprehensive role.
