About the Role

The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations. This role focuses on providing patient care tailored to individual needs, based on feedback received during consultations and file reviews. The pay range for this position is $41.60 - $55.90 per hour. The rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

You will ensure an excellent patient experience and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor. A key part of the role involves establishing and developing strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for accepting prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals. It is crucial to ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models, and to counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products. This includes ensuring the proper storage of pharmaceutical products. You will execute processes according to Walmart's best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operate all equipment in the pharmacy, including the register and computer system. Protecting and maintaining patient privacy at all times, in adherence to provincial regulations established by the regulatory body, is paramount. You will also ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to, such as medication reviews and injections, to meet specific patient needs. Furthermore, you will ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours, and assist the Pharmacy Manager in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals.

Qualifications

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. A valid Pharmacist Licence is required for this position. An optional secondary permit in Alberta, such as the Additional Prescribing Authorization (CA_APA), is mentioned as a preferred qualification but is not mandatory for this Windsor, ON role.
