About the Role

The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations. This role focuses on providing patient-centred care, informed by consultations and patient file reviews. The pay range for this position is $41.60 - $55.90 per hour. The rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure an excellent patient experience and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders. Accurately and efficiently process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals, adhering to established workflow models. Provide comprehensive counselling to all patients on pharmaceutical products sold. Maintain proper storage of all pharmaceutical products. Execute processes according to Walmart's best practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Operate all pharmacy equipment, including the register and computer systems. Uphold patient privacy at all times, strictly following provincial regulations set by the regulatory body. Ensure patients receive all eligible services, such as medication reviews and injections, to meet their specific needs. Confirm the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to execute business action plans and achieve corporate goals.

Qualifications

Candidates must be 16 years of age or older. A valid Pharmacist Licence is required. An additional prescribing authorization permit in Alberta (CA_APA) is an optional secondary permit. Walmart accommodates disability-related needs of applicants and associates as required by law.
