Sun Life, a leading financial services organization in Canada, is seeking a dedicated Service Specialist to join its dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. This pivotal role within SunSolutions & National Accounts, Group Benefits, involves delivering exceptional service to a significant block of existing business while also actively participating in the acquisition and seamless installation of new business. You will play a crucial part in making a tangible difference in the financial life and well-being of our clients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of support and expertise. The successful candidate will leverage their strong experience in group benefits to foster lasting relationships and contribute to our overarching business objectives.
As a Service Specialist, you will be responsible for proactively engaging with clients, arranging regular service calls, and meeting to discuss their evolving needs and promote Sun Life's comprehensive suite of group benefit products and services. A key aspect of this role involves preparing for and delivering impactful plan member education sessions and benefit fairs, alongside training Plan Administrators and Advisors on our E-Services and administrative practices. You will participate in finalist presentations, providing ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction. This role requires a strong commitment to understanding client wants and needs, taking decisive action to meet and exceed their expectations, and actively finding solutions to complex issues. You will collaborate closely with the Implementation Team and new clients to ensure the successful installation of new business, gathering critical data and managing target dates for plan design changes with both clients and Advisors.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of experience, preferably three to five years, in a service-related role, coupled with a strong knowledge of Group Benefits products, processes, and distribution. Post-secondary education is required, alongside proven client empathy and an unwavering commitment to providing an excellent service experience. We are looking for individuals with the ability to build strong working relationships, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Success in this role demands excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in technological systems, and strong time management and organizational skills to manage high volumes of work and meet deadlines effectively.
