Reporting to the Manager, Business & Systems Analysis Chapter, the Business & Systems Consultant will play a crucial role in conducting thorough needs analyses and translating complex business challenges into clear, actionable requirements. This involves meticulously defining user needs and articulating them through detailed epics, user stories, and data mapping documents. A key aspect of this experience involves analysing and documenting how various systems, processes, procedures, and ultimately our clients, will be impacted by future developments. The focus remains on understanding the intricate links between processes and systems across the organisation. By collaborating with various stakeholders, reviewing documentation, and supporting end-to-end validation, this role directly contributes to increasing productivity and reducing operational costs, ensuring our technological solutions meet critical business requirements and enhance client satisfaction.
To excel in this Business & Systems Consultant role, candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of business and/or technology platforms, or possess a clear aptitude for learning about emerging technology and digital products. Practical experience working with client-facing technologies and digital engagement platforms is highly valued, as is a genuine curiosity and adoption of new technological advancements. A solid understanding of Design Thinking principles, coupled with robust knowledge of privacy, compliance, control, and security requirements, is essential. The ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly and simply is paramount, alongside experience with data and integration modelling. Candidates should also be skilled in test execution, capable of understanding outcomes, and comfortable navigating ambiguous environments while demonstrating strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities in a matrixed team setting. Progressive experience as a Business & Systems Analyst, encompassing both waterfall and agile methodologies, will be a significant asset.
