Role Overview
Manulife is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team in Waterloo, Ontario. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of $113,000 CAD to $163,000 CAD, alongside incentive programmes.
As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with technology solutions, enabling effective decision-making and the delivery of high-impact initiatives. You will contribute to optimising business processes, improving system efficiency, and supporting successful project delivery across enterprise platforms.
This position provides the opportunity to work closely with business and IT stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and innovation. You will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing systems, workflows, and customer outcomes through data-driven insights and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
You will partner with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements, analysing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. A core part of your role involves gathering, documenting, and validating both business and technical requirements.
This role requires you to evaluate existing systems and recommend technology solutions that are aligned with business needs. You will act as a crucial liaison between business and IT teams, effectively translating requirements into technical solutions.
Your responsibilities extend to supporting implementation activities, including solution design, testing, and user acceptance. You will prioritise initiatives to ensure alignment with business strategy and project goals, monitoring implemented solutions and recommending enhancements for continuous improvement. Ultimately, you will contribute to successful project delivery by ensuring solutions meet business expectations and technical standards, defining and monitoring SLAs related to intake and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with experience in business process analysis and workflow optimisation. The ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions is essential, as is experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including business and IT stakeholders.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills are crucial for this role. You should have an understanding of enterprise systems, technologies, and system integration, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience delivering technology-enabled business solutions and familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies. A background in systems analysis, application development, or enterprise platforms is beneficial, as is experience supporting continuous improvement or transformation initiatives and exposure to SLA management and operational performance tracking.
