Reporting to the Manager of Respiratory Services and under the supervision of the Supervisor-Sleep Laboratories, the incumbent will be responsible for providing comprehensive polysomnographic testing and scoring. This demanding role requires a strong ability to function effectively in high-stress and emergency situations, demonstrating flexibility and initiative. Candidates must possess sound clinical judgement skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are paramount for success in this dynamic environment. The ability to accept and implement change is also highly valued. Prospective candidates must possess a Respiratory Therapy diploma (RT) and hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS). Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists is preferred, and eligibility or registration with the Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapists (SCRT) is essential. Preference for this position will be given to current HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be a significant consideration under the selection criteria.
