Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this Personal Support Worker role, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications: a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry-approved program, successful completion of at least year one of an RN/RPN student program, or be an internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician. A critical requirement is the physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including the ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach freely for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift 23 kg independently and assist clients with standing, walking, sitting, and repositioning in bed. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service is essential. Additionally, applicants must hold valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certifications, possess a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check, and have an updated TB Test from the last 12 months.
