To excel in this Personal Support Worker position, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications: a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry-approved program, successful completion of year one of an RN/RPN program, or be an internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician. A G2/G license with consistent access to a vehicle is essential due to the travel requirements between patient locations. Applicants must demonstrate the physical ability to meet the demands of the job, which includes the ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach freely for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift 23 kg independently and assist clients with standing, walking, sitting, and repositioning in bed. Further essential requirements include a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care, valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certifications, a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check, and an updated immunization record including a TB Test within the last six months. Proficient verbal and written English communication skills are also required, with additional language skills considered a valuable asset.
