The Order Picker role demands physical stamina, involving regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving various items. Occasionally, associates must be able to lift and move heavy and bulky products without assistance. Climbing ladders, up to heights of 12-16 feet, is also required to obtain or stock merchandise. The working conditions are typical of a warehouse environment, which can be dusty and noisy, with frequent forklift traffic emitting gas fumes. Doors are often open, leading to drafts and temperature changes within the store. This position requires a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts, evenings, and weekends, to accommodate the operational needs of the store.
