As an Électricien et Opérateur Industriel, you will perform planned, unplanned, and emergency inspections, testing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and electronic équipements. Qualifications

• Possess a secondary school diploma and have successfully completed a 9,000-hour apprenticeship program leading to an Industrial Electrician or Construction and Maintenance Electrician certificate.
• Possess at least five years of experience as a licensed Industrial Electrician or Construction and Maintenance Electrician in a combination of treatment-focused industries and construction services, including proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment, as well as installation, construction, and commissioning of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.

Required Permits and Accreditations in Ontario:

• Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as a Construction and Maintenance Electrician 309A or Industrial Electrician 442A.
• Obtain and renew applicable Ontario MOECP Operator-in-Training certificate in drinking water and wastewater treatment within the employer-set timeframe.
• Obtain and renew applicable Ontario MOECP Class I Drinking Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate within the employer-set timeframe.
• Valid, unrestricted Ontario Class G driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points.
• Ontario-approved Transportation of Dangerous Goods training certificate.
• Obligation to obtain a 0-tonne to 8-tonne Mobile Crane Operator training certificate (P930030) within the employer-set timeframe.
• Obligation to obtain an unrestricted Ontario Class DZ driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) within the employer-set timeframe.
• Obligation to obtain a restricted Ontario Class AZ driver's licence (R condition) (or provincial equivalent) within the employer-set timeframe.
• Necessity to complete all on-the-job training within employer-set deadlines, including WHMIS, confined space entry, and other health and safety programs.

The Électricien et Opérateur Industriel plays a multifaceted role, ensuring the continuous and safe operation of critical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting inspections, tests, installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and planned, unplanned, or emergency repairs of electrical and electronic équipements located dans les installations de traitement, de distribution et d’entreposage de l’eau des Services d’eau (including water purification plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, water towers, metering facilities, and well treatment systems).
• Performing similar duties for electrical and electronic équipements dans les installations de traitement et de collecte des eaux usées (including wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, odour control facilities, and regulators).
• Operating various parts of the traitement equipment (for drinking water: treatment, distribution, and delivery equipment; for wastewater: treatment and collection equipment) as an authorized operator of a water or wastewater treatment or collection system.
• Adjusting specific parameters of the water or wastewater treatment system, in consultation and close collaboration with other authorized management employees.
• Working with a wide range of equipment, including power supply systems, distribution and generation equipment (up to 44 kV), generators (up to 4.8 MW), motors (up to 1.5 MW), related motor starting and control equipment, electrical cables, transformers, backup and emergency power systems, uninterruptible power supply systems, lighting systems, power and lighting control panels, electrical actuators, electrical metering and monitoring systems, control and instrumentation equipment, and building services equipment.
• Performing duties in various locations, including reagent storage and dosing sites, electrical rooms, machine rooms, generator rooms, pumping rooms, valve rooms and chambers, confined spaces, overhead tanks, elevated and underground tanks, outdoor electrical substations, and offices.
