About the Role
This in-person position as a Jubilee Parking Attendant supports special events and performances at the Jubilee Auditorium on the University of Alberta's North Campus in Edmonton, Alberta. Parking Services provides essential parking and traffic-related services to the campus community. This is a temporary position with an end date of June 30, 2027, and we are looking to fill three positions.
Key Responsibilities
The Jubilee Parking Attendant is responsible for directing traffic as required, ensuring smooth flow during events. You will deliver change and parking permits to kiosks and perform minor repairs to parking equipment, such as cash registers, when necessary. A key part of the role involves selling visitor parking permits and compiling occurrence reports. You will also monitor parking space inventory and provide accurate parking-related information, including prices, availability, and locations, to campus visitors and community members.
What You'll Bring
Candidates must possess a Grade 12 education or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal communication abilities are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in changeable working conditions, including inclement weather. Previous industry experience is considered an asset, and related experience, such as cash handling and customer service, is preferred. Exposure to parking technology will also be an asset.
