Core Responsibilities and Neuroscience Curriculum Development
The primary responsibilities for this Academic Teaching Staff member will revolve around a substantial teaching load, equivalent to six-credit courses per year, aligning with the guidelines set out in the ATS agreement. The successful applicant will be instrumental in teaching various levels of undergraduate students, from didactic classes to leading advanced discussion-based courses at the fourth-year level. Specific teaching duties include general topics in neuroscience at the second-year level, such as NEURO 210, and advanced undergraduate neuroscience courses at the third and fourth-year levels, including NEURO 371 and NEURO 375. Beyond direct teaching, this role involves crucial contributions to course coordination and curriculum development or revision. This may encompass the development of new courses in cutting-edge areas like developmental neuroscience, molecular neurobiology, and specialized neuroscience-focused laboratory instruction.
