This role provides comprehensive training and support to help you successfully obtain the Québec Damage Insurance certificate from l’Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the General Insurance Licence for Ontario (Other Than Life) and other provinces.
As a Licensed Insurance Advisor for Home and Auto, you will be the trusted voice providing insurance advice and options to help clients protect what matters most to them. You will offer empathetic, helpful, friendly, and clear advice, focusing on problem-solving and delivering an exceptional client experience. You will also contribute to sales goals by proactively recommending personal home and auto insurance solutions to new and existing clients and referring them to internal partners.
You will provide tailored insurance advice and solutions to clients through inbound calls, ensuring a consistent and positive experience. Your responsibilities include resolving client concerns at the first point of contact and building relationships through meaningful discussions. You will complete personalised needs assessments and reviews, utilising available tools and resources to support your advice recommendations. A solid understanding of regulatory risk is essential when underwriting and updating home and auto insurance policies, and you will effectively use established procedures during client interactions. Furthermore, you will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal partners to foster a collaborative RBC team environment.
You must be willing and able to successfully obtain the Québec Damage Insurance certificate from l’Autorité des marchés financiers and the General Insurance Licence for Ontario (Other Than Life) and other provinces. Bilingualism in English and French is essential, with a high level of reading, comprehension, and speaking ability in both languages, as you will regularly serve clients in both official languages. Exceptional customer service skills are required, along with the ability to build strong relationships and connect effectively with clients. You should also possess flexibility to work various shifts within the Home and Auto Advice Centre's hours of operation, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and demonstrate digital literacy across a broad range of services including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
Ideally, you may already possess the Québec Damage Insurance certificate from l’Autorité des marchés financiers. Post-secondary education, knowledge of insurance products, and prior customer service or sales experience in a contact centre environment are considered assets.
