As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for preparing alcoholic drinks, pouring wine and beer, and mastering standard drink recipes while being flexible to accommodate guests' preferences. Responsibilities

• Taking and filling drink orders, garnishing and serving drinks, collecting payment, and operating the POS system.
• Maintaining a clean work area by tidying up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs, and washing glasses and utensils.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory of wines, beers, and liquors, ordering bar supplies as required, and stocking the bar with liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom.
• Maintaining a safe environment by checking guests’ identification for minimum drinking age, determining when a customer has had too much alcohol, stopping service, arranging safe transportation home, and refusing service or contacting police if necessary.

What you'll bring

To excel as an Hourly Bartender at The Rec Room, you will bring a blend of essential qualifications and a passion for hospitality. Your expertise in drink recipes and commitment to guest safety will be key.

• A High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Must be the required age of majority or older.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of Bartending experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Completed Bartending classes are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of various drink recipes.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• A provincially applicable certificate for the sell, sale, and handling of alcohol.
