Financial Planner - RBC, Prince George

The opportunity

Join RBC's unique financial planning platform in one of two expert financial planning roles located in the BC Interior and North, including Prince George. Whether you focus on investment and retirement planning or manage a portfolio of mass affluent clients, you will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships and provide world-class advice.

As an RBC Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning, you develop relationships and create custom investment solutions for prospective and existing RBC clients. Alongside your own prospecting and networking activity, you are fully supported by internal partners who send client referrals your way. This role features commission plus variable incentive with unlimited earning potential.

As an RBC Financial Planner, you have the opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of mass affluent clients, providing ongoing comprehensive reviews of their financial circumstances. This position offers a combination of base plus variable compensation.

What you'll do

For Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning:

• Provide tailor-made financial planning advice and solutions using our unparalleled array of investment and portfolio solutions, including best-in-class proprietary and select third-party mutual fund solutions
• Acquire and consolidate existing and new-to-RBC clients and assets
• Connect clients with the right RBC team members to help continuously meet their needs
• Develop external business referral sources through networking, marketing, and your centres of influence

For Financial Planner:

• Provide tailor-made financial planning advice and help clients reach their goals, using our unparalleled array of investment, credit, and everyday banking solutions
• Actively maintain and expand your portfolio of clients using value-based relationship management practices, achieving performance targets
• Cultivate relationships with service partners and local markets to optimize business opportunities and referrals

Requirements

• Financial Planning Designation (PFP, QAFP or CFP)
• Mutual Funds License (IFIC or CSC)
• Minimum 2 years experience in financial planning
• Proven networking and client acquisition skills
