About the Role
This is a casual Emergency Medical Responder position based at the Unity Health Centre in Unity, Saskatchewan. The role involves providing pre-hospital care to patients. As a casual position, there are no guaranteed hours. The pay band for this role is $22.600 to $24.210. Shifts may include days, nights, evenings, weekends, and standby.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Responder include assessing patients, providing essential patient care, and safely transferring and transporting individuals requiring medical attention.
Requirements
Candidates must possess an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate and be eligible to write the licensing exam to become registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. A minimum of Grade 10 education is required. Applicants must hold a valid Class 4 driver's licence, a current First Aid Certificate, and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C (CPR) Certificate. Essential competencies include basic computer skills, strong communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills. The ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-cultural setting is also necessary.
