About the Opportunity
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Responder for a part-time temporary position in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. This is a 0.75 full-time equivalent (FTE) role at the Kerrobert & District Health Centre, with an expected start date of June 12, 2026, and an expected end date of June 11, 2027. The pay band for this position ranges from $22.60 to $24.21 per hour, based on a three-step range. Shifts will include days, evenings, weekends, and standby periods, following a rotation of 21 eight-hour shifts over six weeks.
What You'll Do
As an Emergency Medical Responder, you will provide essential pre-hospital care for patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, delivering direct patient care, and safely transferring and transporting individuals to appropriate medical facilities.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics after completing your licensing exam. A Grade 10 education is required, along with an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate. You must also hold a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate and a First Aid Certificate. A valid Class 4 driver's licence is essential for this position. Candidates should possess basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills. The ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-cultural setting is also important.
