Scotiabank is seeking a Director to lead its global technology strategy and delivery for the Structured Credit business, a critical area within capital markets. The incumbent will ensure that all operational processes are scalable, compliant, and efficient, supporting diverse product lines including Commercial Real Estate, Credit Total Return Swaps (TRS), and ABS/MBS trading. The Director will partner closely with various internal stakeholders, including trading desks, risk management, finance, and operations teams, to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions. These solutions are designed to enhance structured credit trading capabilities, optimize risk management processes, and streamline client lifecycle activities. A core responsibility involves ensuring all technology initiatives strictly adhere to global regulatory requirements, internal policies, and comprehensive risk frameworks. Success in this demanding Director role at Scotiabank requires a candidate with profound expertise in structured credit technology and a comprehensive understanding of global regulatory environments. Applicants should possess a minimum of 10 years of technology and business experience within capital markets, specifically in structured credit or mortgage-backed securities (MBS). This includes deep knowledge of structured credit products such as ABS, MBS, CMBS, TRS, and CLOs.
