The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, business development and client-focused leader to champion our brand and solutions across Western Canada. As Director of Institutional Business Development and Client Relations, you will build deep, strategic relationships with investment consultants, group retirement advisors, and plan sponsors, driving growth and elevating SLGI’s presence in the institutional investment sector. This role involves identifying and pursuing new opportunities with plan sponsors, in partnership with internal teams. You will amplify SLGI’s brand visibility through regional roadshows, client events, and strategic communications, delivering compelling presentations at pension and investment committee meetings. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our largest plan sponsors, ensure proactive engagement, and respond swiftly to various client inquiries and requests.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring over 10 years of proven success in institutional business development and client relationship management. A deep understanding of investment products, pension plans, and the group retirement landscape is essential. You possess exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills, coupled with a strategic mindset and a passion for solving client challenges and driving results.
