<h3>Key Responsibilities of the Produce Utility Clerk</h3> <p>The Produce Utility Clerk is a pivotal role, primarily responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient operation within our produce department. This includes strict adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and standards. A core aspect of this position involves providing excellent customer service and fostering positive customer relations through the professional handling of inquiries, comments, requests, and complaints. The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of the produce utility function, including but not limited to culling, stocking, creating appealing displays, and ensuring proper facing of products in an efficient and organized manner. This role is also responsible for maintaining display presentation and optimal stock levels, handling merchandise with care to minimize damages, and ensuring price integrity, including accurate price changes and offering suitable substitutions. General cleanup duties are also crucial, such as meticulously cleaning spills and display fixtures to ensure a neat and organized department. The clerk is responsible for keeping the sales floor and back stock areas free from cardboard and debris, as well as the proper disposal of garbage. Adherence to established Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations and policies is paramount to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Furthermore, the clerk is responsible for the proper care, use, and maintenance of equipment and tools, promptly reporting any repair requirements. This role also includes responsibility for all aspects of ordering merchandise and supplies, and receiving duties such as reviewing and verifying invoices, managing returns, transfers, claims, and ensuring proper storage of products. Assisting in organizing and conducting inventory counts is also part of this dynamic role.</p>
