In this role, you will assess and manage disability claims, including short-term, long-term, and salary continuance, focusing on timely and fair resolution. You will lead recovery planning by identifying medical and non-medical factors, functional capabilities, and readiness for return-to-work. Applying crisis intervention and rehabilitation techniques, you will support clients through challenging health transitions. The role also involves using data and analytics to inform decisions and identify trends in recovery and return-to-work outcomes. Building strong, trust-based relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare providers is essential, as is communicating with empathy and clarity throughout the absence and return-to-work journey.
To succeed in this position, you must be bilingual in French and English, both orally and in writing, to effectively serve clients across Canada and globally. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally within healthcare or case management. A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Kinesiology, or Business is required. We are looking for individuals with strong analytical and decision-making skills, resilience, and adaptability in fast-paced, emotionally complex situations. Comfort with digital tools and multiple platforms, along with a collaborative, team-first mindset, is also important. Frontline healthcare experience, such as in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or mental health support, is highly valued, as are demonstrated strengths in emotional intelligence, crisis intervention, case management, rehabilitation techniques, analytical skills, and critical thinking.
