As the Banking & Revenue Operations Manager for the City of Saskatoon, this permanent full-time position is central to the Corporate Financial Services division, specifically within Corporate Revenue. The manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the functions of the Banking and Revenue Operations Section, which encompasses Corporate Banking Services, Revenue Systems, Customer Service Cashiers, and Administrative Services groups. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the efficient intake of revenue for the division, aligning all operations with broader corporate goals and guiding principles. This includes leading the implementation of new systems and technologies, as well as modifying existing systems across the division and corporation, directly impacting how the City manages its financial infrastructure. The manager also develops and monitors operating policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration of diverse service delivery channels, including in-person counter services and online access for banking and revenue operations.
This leadership role involves significant staff management responsibilities, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and fostering staff development related to new systems and changes to existing banking and revenue systems. The manager acts as the primary corporate resource for administering and enforcing the City's banking services contracts, including reviewing and recommending changes to existing agreements to optimize corporate financial operations. Furthermore, the position manages the enforcement of various municipal bylaws, policies, and legislation pertinent to the Banking and Revenue Operations Section activities. The incumbent supports the development of improved business practices and processes for the division, including analysing operational issues and recommending strategic solutions. Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial, including approving and managing Service Level Agreements. The manager also prepares and monitors the budget for the Banking and Revenue Operations Section and assists in developing annual strategic business plans for the Corporate Revenue division, occasionally acting as the Director of Corporate Revenue as required.
