job description

Key Duties

Join DoorDash's New Verticals Strategy & Operations team as an Associate, playing a pivotal role in growing the International New Verticals business. These roles are based in Canada and focus on identifying, leading, and prioritizing initiatives to improve operating rhythms across new verticals, impacting both US and Canadian businesses. You will lead short-term execution, strategize long-term plans, and implement product features that may:

  • Optimize the dasher’s performance through improving quality and efficiency.
  • Improve costs and how DoorDash manages towards bottom-line goals.
  • Enhance catalog quality around completeness and discoverability.

You'll partner with other strategy and operations teams, enterprise partner managers, product, engineering, analytics, and other internal stakeholders. This is currently an individual contributor position within a hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and in-person collaboration.

What You'll Bring to DoorDash

DoorDash is looking for top talent who are excited about joining a fast-paced environment and driving the next wave of growth. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • You are a self-starter with a bias for action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • You are a problem solver with a talent for synthesizing complex problems, can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing processes. You’re excited to think innovatively and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • You are analytical, using data to inform tough decisions, and are comfortable operating at both the 10,000-foot level and at the 10-inch level, proficient in tools like Excel and SQL.
  • You are becoming AI native, working to gain experience with AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate problem-solving, analysis, or workflow execution.
  • You work to get 1% better every day, always looking for opportunities to improve your work product and own the outcome – both the good and the bad.
  • You have 1-2+ years of experience in consulting, finance, or related strategy and operations.
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
