Bell is seeking a dedicated Associate for a temporary assignment within its Corporate Financial Results and Reports team in Verdun, Quebec. This team is responsible for managing Commodity Tax and Non-Resident Vendor Withholding Tax reconciliations and remittances for BCE and its various subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities and Daily Tasks

The Associate will perform critical financial analysis and reconciliation tasks. This includes analyzing and reconciling multiple General Ledger accounts related to Commodity Tax, Non-Resident Vendor Withholding Tax, 911 Tax, and Recycling Fees. A primary responsibility involves executing weekly and monthly remittances for these various tax categories. The role also requires the preparation and processing of tax related journal entries to the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Daily tasks will include reviewing requirements related to non-resident withholding taxes within Bell Canada’s Accounts Payable Self Service (APSS) system and the Purchase Order (PO) system in SAP. Managing urgent requests from APSS and POs in a timely manner is required, alongside effectively handling communications from various business units. This position demands a high level of autonomy, creativity, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

Candidates for this temporary assignment must possess intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and formulas, and basic knowledge of MS Word. Proficiency in both English and French is required, as the role involves interacting with French and English-speaking stakeholders across Canada.
