The LCBO is seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers to join our outstanding team at the Ottawa Retail Service Centre facility, located at 1980 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario. This is a temporary position from June 2026 to January 2027, offering a pay rate of $20.82 per hour.
In this role, you will perform a variety of essential duties, including the safe handling, receiving, storing, preparing, checking, and shipping of cases. This involves selecting, assembling, and preparing pallet orders for customers.
You will operate material handling equipment, including rideable equipment, with comprehensive training provided. Manual tasks include physically loading and unloading cases of beer, wine, spirits, and cider, which weigh between 18 kg (40 lbs) and 27 kg (60 lbs).
Maintaining a safe and organised workplace is crucial. You will be expected to clean up accidental spills and assist with other general clean-up tasks as needed, contributing to a safe environment for everyone.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to showing up and completing assigned tasks, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic. You must be physically able to stand for lengthy periods of time and perform repetitive movements such as reaching, bending, twisting, and walking.
Successful candidates will be fluent in English and proficient in numbers, with the ability to follow procedures and work independently with minimal supervision. A criminal record check, paid for by the LCBO, is required as part of the hiring process.
The LCBO offers a supportive work environment with various shifts, including afternoon (4:00 pm – 11:45 pm), evening, occasional weekend, and midnight (12:00 am – 7:45 am) shifts, allowing you to find a schedule that fits your life. Training typically takes place on the day shift (8:00 am – 3:45 pm).
