About the Role

As a Team Leader, Aircraft Structures and Refinishing, you will lead and supervise a dedicated team of aircraft structures and refinishing technicians. This pivotal role ensures the operational readiness of aircraft through expert oversight of repair and refinishing work within National Defence in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for planning and overseeing structural repair and refinishing work, coordinating work schedules, priorities, and operational demands. Monitoring quality, safety, and maintenance and reliability programs is crucial. You will also manage team performance, foster a respectful workplace, and maintain team training, certification, and operational capability. Effective communication with stakeholders and management, along with supporting administrative and financial responsibilities, are also part of this role.

Technical Expertise & Compliance

This role requires providing technical expertise in composite and sheet metal repairs, resolving complex issues as they arise. A key aspect is ensuring strict compliance with all airworthiness, safety, and regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards in aircraft maintenance.
