<h3>Leading Metallurgical Projects and Test Programmes</h3> The Senior Metallurgist will primarily manage a portfolio of projects, overseeing all stages from bid preparation and client interaction to data communication and final reporting. A key aspect of this role involves completing precise metallurgical balances and thoroughly analysing data to determine the optimal direction for testing programmes. Upon the completion of each test programme, you will be responsible for analysing and presenting the data in a format suitable for inclusion in the final project report. Furthermore, this position entails conducting, supervising, and reporting on bench scale and pilot plant test work, directly supervising laboratory test activities, and liaising with the Technical Services Manager regarding ongoing test programmes. Your leadership and experience will also extend to mentoring other technical staff within the Intertek BML team.

<h3>Essential Expertise in Mineral Processing</h3> Candidates for this Senior Metallurgist position must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, with PEng registration being preferred. A minimum of seven years of experience in mineral processing is required, with a strong preference for experience in gold or base metals processing. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience with comminution, flotation, leaching, and pressure oxidation techniques. Crucially, extensive metallurgical testing experience within a laboratory setting is essential. Beyond technical acumen, demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication abilities, both written and oral, are vital for effectively managing projects and collaborating with clients and colleagues at Intertek BML.
