The Electronic Fixed Income team operates with a global footprint, ensuring comprehensive support to business lines across the dealer. The primary focus is on supporting Fixed Income eTrading Applications within TD Securities. This role will support the team in four main pillars: Technology Risk management, Application onboarding, Audit management, and Documentation management. As TD Securities continues to grow and evolve, the E-trading Fixed Income business is currently expanding the team to drive business growth and promote a stable and secure environment for TDS.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Technology Partner Management. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for the four main pillars previously mentioned. In addition to these, this role will also focus heavily on process improvement, vendor management facilitation, and general technology asset owner ad-hoc requests. The position requires a self-starter with exceptional relationship management skills, proven organisational talents, a passion for process improvement, and an eagerness to learn and understand business and technology trading applications.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for technology risk management, which includes creating and actively managing remediation plans and risk exceptions for all technology audit findings across multiple trading applications. This involves working directly with Business Information Security Officers and Technology Asset Owners.
Managing all audit requests as a priority will be key. You will act as the primary liaison between audit partners, the Technology Control Office, and the front-line business and technology team to respond to requests for information, technology procedures, and related documents. You will also manage the technology application onboarding process, encompassing all phases of the cycle including application request, registration, and transition to support. This includes managing the application book of record for all technology applications, ensuring all information is up to date with associated lifecycle changes and management, and acting as a primary point of contact for all requests.
As a vendor management facilitator, you will work with vendor management and procurement for all E-trading fixed income engagements. This ranges from new vendor services, licence purchases, onboarding trading venues, professional services, and contract amendments. You will also be responsible for business process documentation, managing and updating all process documents related to change management, incident management, standard roles definition, and standard operating procedures.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal TD partners is crucial to ensure business priorities and requirements are clearly understood, met, and objectives are aligned. Partners include business and technology teams, vendor management and procurement, contract management and legal, finance, compliance, third-party risk, data governance, enterprise protect, cyber security, cloud, and 3PCRM. You will consistently operate with a process improvement lens to create efficiencies that deliver optimal outcomes and add true value for our front-line business and technology team.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a good understanding of electronic trading, markets, connectivity, market making, pricing, and algorithmic or automatic trading. Strong relationship management skills are essential, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships. A strong awareness of bank compliance and risk management policies is also required. You should be able to deal with conflicting points of view and effect creative and responsive solutions, making an impact, influencing, and achieving results through effective communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
Proven organisational talents and a demonstrated aptitude for workload prioritisation are important, along with the ability to effectively manage work under tight timelines and changing priorities. We are looking for a self-motivated, resourceful team player with high energy and the ability to work independently. You should promote a positive and inclusive team environment, bringing a high level of enthusiasm to the team, and possess a problem-solving mindset with a passion for process improvement and innovation.
A nice to have includes knowledge of the Fixed Income life cycle and system development, experience with technology trading business applications, Archer tool experience, and prior experience working with procurement, vendor management, or third-party risk. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree or technical certificate and three to five years of relevant industry experience.
